FullSoul improves maternal health in Uganda by outfitting hospitals with medical supply kits. With the support from a Rotary Club Global Grant, FullSoul and SPECT are partnering to provide 10 healthcare facilities in Uganda with maternal medical kits and staff training on how to safely reprocess those kits to ensure instruments are safe for patient use.
Lifebox makes surgery and anesthesia safer on a global scale by providing hospital teams with equipment, education and peer support. SPECT developed and provided a Safer Surgical Instrument workshop in support of Lifebox's Surgical Safety Checklist and Clean Cut programs.
Globally, 5 billion people lack access to safe surgery. To combat this overwhelming statistic, Mercy Ships uses hospital ships to provide free medical care along coastal Africa. In support of Mercy Ships medical capacity building initiative, SPECT provides in-country sterile processing training and mentoring to partnering healthcare facilities.
